Fórum de Fundos Soberanos Brasileiros
Brazil
Established in 2021, the Forum of Brazilian Sovereign Wealth Funds (FFSB, or Fórum de Fundos Soberanos Brasileiros in Portuguese) is a channel for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among managers, the academic community and specialized professionals. The FFSB aims to develop tools, disseminate best practices, and promote solutions to optimize the management of these resources. The FFSB has also promulgated the Charter of Brazilian Principles, a framework developed by Brazil’s subnational funds as a letter of intent to guide the actions of its signatories, modelled on the Santiago Principles and adapted to reflect the particularities of Brazil’s funds and national context.
The FFSB is a partnership between the Fluminense Federal University (UFF); the Jain Family Institute (JFI), an applied research institution based in New York (USA); and the subnational funds of the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo and of the municipalities of Niterói (RJ), Maricá (RJ), Ilhabela (SP), Conceição do Mato Dentro (MG) and Congonhas (MG).
