State Street’s Potential Collaboration with SC2

State Street’s Potential Collaboration with SC2

State Street is eager to engage with IFSWF and SC2 on a non-remunerated basis.

  • State Street welcomed Bridgewater’s participation in the SC as well.
  • SC2 aims to produce high quality, accessible white papers for presentation and release at the Auckland annual meeting.
    • All participants foresee an active and substantive research role for State Street.
    • Will’s team has published with Norway and other asset owners in peer-reviewed journals.
  • SC2 could potentially draw on IFSWF’s academic partners as a resource.
    • Will noted he is a Tufts alumnus and has collaborated with the university in the past.
    • Roberto welcomed input from IFSWF’s research partners.
  • State Street would like to publicly disclose the formalized relationship with IFSWF and ongoing collaborative research agenda with SC2.
    • Kristian indicated such disclosure would be appropriate following formal board confirmation of the research policy on 29 February 2016.
    • Following established practice, research would be published at the 2016 annual meeting.

Next Steps

  • State Street will write to NZSF to formally express interest to the Board.
  • Roberto will initiate a discussion on the topics identified in SC2’s work plan with the subcommittee following further conversation with State Street.
